Deja vu... I answered this before the backup got restored. It's basically an API for an object that can be passed around between plugins and that gets stored automatically into SQL. It's sort of like Hibernate for Java, but not anywhere near as powerful. I was originally planning on writing in OOP support for it, but that sort of fell through. You can technically get the same effect, anyway, using the ARP event API.

Sure, you can /me at the map geometry all day, but unless there's someone hiding on the roof or the admin reads the server logs, its essentially wasted time.
